Bala Krishna represents true self-knowledge. Bala Krishna is traditionally one of the early forms of worship in Hinduism. As a little kid, Krishna was fun and mischievous and used to play a lot of pranks. He would steal butter, that he was fond of it which attained him the nickname of ‘Makhan Chor’. This childish innocence of the young Lord Krishna is well known by devotees to this day, who worship him to induce pure offspring like Lord Krishna himself. The cult of Balakrishna, the divine child, although it is an important feature of the Krishna faith, it is one of all the deities most common to Krishna in many elements of India today.
